In 2016 I graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer science engineering from Kerala University.
Straight out of college I was hired as a developer, but that’s where I met and fell for the world of user experience. A few weeks in, I changed teams and never looked back.
Fast forward to 2019, I helped create a community in Trivandrum for aspiring UX Designers called UXShots. Our team conducted seminars and webinars (hey lockdown!) focused on sharing our knowledge with enthusiastic learners.
Outside of UX Design, I spend my time reading books, playing chess, crafting, and trying to reduce my carbon footprint.
Career
I currently work as a UX Designer with ZEISS Medical Technology. Of the 9+ years I've been working in design, the first six were spent in a service-based company (similar to a design agency, except that they code the products as well), designing websites and mobiles for various domains, such as finance, ed-tech, fleet management, med-tech, etc.
In the last 3+ years, I have focused on more strategic topics along with UX deliverables. I am currently transitioning into leadership roles and really enjoy looking at the big picture to identify patterns and make connections wherever possible.

My first steps as a designer. I trained on the job with my wonderful mentor, my manager. All tasks were reviewed and reworked before being given to clients. I learned a lot and truly fell in love with design.
